我行即将推出透过快速支付系统提供的资金转账及电子直接付款授权（以电子方式设置的直接付款授权）登记服务，配合香港银行业界开展新的快速支付系统。

为与此新服务配套，我们现通知您《账户持有人条款》将修订至新增附件五“有关快速支付系统的银行服务”，并由2018年9月30日起生效（“生效日期”）。 请注意，如您在生效日期当日或之后继续使用或保留相关户口，则表示将受上述修订约束。新增的附件五涵盖以下内容:
1. 有关快速支付系统的银行服务和定义.
2. 银行服务的范围及使用条款.
3. 账户绑定服务 - 登记及更改识别代号及相关纪录.
4. 电子直接付款授权服务.
5. 阁下的责任.
6. 本行的责任及责任限制.
7. 收集及使用客户资料.

将发生的改变

在生效日期之前持有存续账户的客户将不受变更的影响并根据经修订的条款及细则可使用我行提供的快速支付系统相关服务。

您可能需要采取的行动

如果您同意并接受本通知所阐述的安排，您无须采取任何行动。如您在生效日期当日或之后继续使用或保留相关户口，则表示将受上述修改约束。

如您拒绝接受该等变更，您有权根据现有版本中的相关条款于生效日期之前终止相关户口。

本行保留不时更改任何收费、优惠或其它服务之权利。如有任何查询，或您有意终止任何账户，请前往我行或致电本行的客户服务热线如下:

Notice of Changes to General Terms and Conditions for Account Holders

Thank you for using our banking services.

As part of an industry wide launch of the new Faster Payment System in Hong Kong, China Merchants Bank Hong Kong Branch will provide payment and eDDA (direct debit authorisation set up by electronic means) registration services through Faster Payment System (“Our FPS Services”). 

In connection with this, we would like to notify you that with effect from 30 September 2018 (“Effective Date”), the General Terms and Conditions for Account Holders (the “Terms and Conditions”) are amended to incorporate a new Schedule 5 entitled “Bank Services relating to Faster Payment System”.  The amended Terms and Conditions shall be binding on you if you continue to maintain any account with us on or after the Effective Date.  As summary, new Schedule 5 covers:
1. Bank Services relating to Faster Payment System and definitions.
2. Scope of Bank Services and conditions for use.
3. Addressing Service – registration and amendment for Proxy ID and related records.
4. eDDA service.
5. Your responsibility.
6. Our responsibility and restriction of liability.
7. Collection and use of Customer Information.

What will change for you
Customers who have existing accounts with us before the Effective Date will not be affected by the changes and subject to the amended Terms and Conditions will be entitled to use Our FPS Services from the Effective Date.

Actions that you may take
If you agree to and accept the arrangement set out in this Notice, you do not need to take any actions.  We assume you accept the amended Terms and Conditions if you continue to maintain an account with us on or after the Effective Date.

If you do not accept the changes, you have the right to terminate your account(s) in accordance with the relevant clauses under the Terms and Conditions before the Effective Date.

We reserve the right to change any fees, offers or other services from time to time. If you have any queries or should you wish to terminate any of the account(s), please contact us at our Hong Kong Branch or call one of our customer service hotlines below:

If there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of this Notice, the English version shall prevail.
